Scope of ICMGC-2

The International Symposium on Nucleation and Growth of Crystals (ISMGC) is a bi-yearly conference series on functional crystalline materials held by the State Key Laboratory of Crystals, Shandong University, which is supported by the Programme of Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities (111 Program). The aim of ISNGC is to bring together researchers who are working on functional crystals, functional nanomaterials, crystal growth theory, biomaterials and biochemistry, and organic optoelectronic materials and devices in order to exchange initiatives and ideas. The symposium will also review state-of-the-art research in the field of solar cells, energy transfer and storage, biodevices and biosensors, as well as to present novel applications, challenges and opportunities. This symposium series provides an ideal platform for scientists from different research fields to exchange their ideas, and encourages them to collaborate with each other, to participate in multidisciplinary collaboration. The ISMGC-1 (1st International Symposium on Nucleation And Growth Of Crystal: Structures, Functions And Applications) was held at Shandong University on June 10-11, 2010. Specifically, ISNGC-2 will focus on the chemistry and physics in the above research areas.

The symposium includes both oral and poster sessions, as well as plenary and invited talks to provide broad visions of developments in different fields. The official language will be English.
