王继扬,男,1946年7月出生,教授、博士生导师。

1968年毕业于南京大学化学系;在山东机床附件厂工作,任工人、技术员等;1978年到山东大学晶体材料研究所从事功能晶体的生长、表征和应用等方面研究工作;在磷酸盐,硼酸盐,钨酸盐,铌酸盐等晶体,特别是在KTP,YAB,LGS,KBBF, KABO, KLuW 及其同系晶体生长,表征和应用方面做了很多工作。曾于1985-1986,1991-1992年在德国科隆大学结晶学研究所从事访问研究,1994年起多次以访问教授身份在美国Bowling Green Sate University 从事教学科研工作。曾任山东大学材料科学与工程学院副院长,晶体材料研究所所长,晶体材料国家实验室常务副主任。现为中国晶体学会副理事长、亚洲晶体生长与晶体技术协会秘书长、中国硅酸盐学会晶体生长与材料分会秘书长、国际晶体生长组织理事,国际晶体学联合会晶体生长和表征协会理事;1994年获得国家教委科技进步一等奖,1996年获国家发明三等奖,2002年获山东省技术发明二等奖,2006年获山东省自然科学三等奖,2007年获中国建材科学技术发明一等奖各一项;1994年被评为国家重点实验室先进工作者,获"金牛奖" ;在国内外重要学术期刊发表论文300余篇,并编撰和参编了《英汉晶体学词汇》、《探索新晶体》、《晶体形貌学》、《功能材料学概论》等。
